So this may be the shortest email yet.
This week has been good.
Full of laughs, stress, sadness, growth, everything.
And I have come to learn that there are moments and people in your mission, as well as in life that mark you. Moments that change the way you see the world and those around you. Moments that make you understand what its all about. This week I had these moments. One I will share now, the other I will share in 18 months. :)
Monday:
We had interviews with President. It was great as usual. We talked about how much I had changed in 11 months (a lot).
Talked with Hermana Larson a bit. She would be good friends with mom. Haha.
Spent some time with L.
She is one of the testimonies to me that the Lord sends us where we need to be to find the one. She is one of the ones.
Ask me about her in 18 months.
Tuesday:
P-day.
We went to this park of fountains.
It's cool.
I'll take you all one day when you come visit me in my home here in Peru
(because I'm not leaving).
We ate these huuuuuuuugee sandwiches. Soooo gooood.
Dad you have to try it.
It was made for you.
Not because you're a pig or anything, just because its really good.
P.S. Happy almost Father's Day.
Wednesday:
Some ups and downs.
Lesson with a woman who explained that the church could be true because anything is true if you use your imagination.
Interesting.
Some people have interesting thoughts.
and they trust missionaries a lot.
Never seizes to amaze me.
Thursday:
Can't say I remember...
Friday:
Another special marking moment.
We woke up at 3 in the morning.
Got all ready.
Left by 4.
Headed to Lima Norte
Waited for 2 hours to listen to ELDER RASBAND.
Yes, an Apostle of Jesus Christ. A witness of Him. A prophet seer and revelator.
Basically, it was great.
He truly is a servant of the Lord.
Learned a lot of things that I needed to hear.
He talked about the importance of smiling and having sparkling eyes and sharing the JOY of the gospel.
Hermana Correa fell off the bus and sprained her ankle. It's huge and blue.
So Hermana Scarlett and her companion came and we did divisions for a couple hours while Hna Correa rested.
Did I tell you I love Hermana Correa.
And Hermana Scarlett?
And Rimac?
I've been having nightmares that they're going to take me out of this sector.
It's my favorite so far.
I love it. And never want to leave.
Ever.
Saturday:
I think I was a little stressed.
I don't remember though.
Sunday:
We had lunch with A.
Hahahah.
You gotta meet this kid.
He had his mom send meat from his house (8 hours away) for this lunch
and guess what it was?
You guessed it.
Lamb.
I think I would choose the cuy.
But such is the mission.
It was nice.
He's changed a lot.
And is really happy with the things his learning.
He's thinking about a mission.
And came to church in a shirt and tie for the first time. :)
Basically things are going along just fine here.
I'm happy as can be. :)
And I love you all.
Love,
Hermana Anderson
