buenos dias amigitos

mi querida familia y otros,

decidi que hoy voy a escribir mi correo en espanol.

casi han tenido 11 meses para aprender, entonces supongo que van a entender todoooo.

Lunes.

Tuvimos Pday con las hermanas de la mision.

Estuvo bien; Hermana Larson even made french toast. :´) A little trunky spell.

It was great see all my hermanas, especially now because being in a zone de puros elderes.

There's a woman in our ward who has a chifa, we went there with Hermana Sanchez and Scarlett. A funny bunch.

My dear family and others,

I decided that today I will write my mail in Spanish. I have almost been 11 months to learn, then I guess they will understand todoooo. Monday. Pday had with the sisters of the mission. It was good. Hermana Larson even made french toast. :´) A little trunky spell. It was great see all my hermanas, especially now because being in a zone de puros elderes (of pure elders)).

Martes.

We had divisions with Hermana Bartlett and Hermana Torres. Wow. Hermana Torres was great. She's almost done with her training, but boy did I learn a lot from her. Her family is Jehovah Witness. She's got a killer testimony.

Miercoles.

?

Can't say I remember much...

Jueves.

Intercambios with Hermana Barrera and Hermana Vasquez.

They are in the zone furthest away from us.

Which meant 1.5 hours in bus there and 1.5 hours in bus back.

By the time Hermana Vasquez and I made it back to Rimac, the day was practically over.

We had a lesson with R. who was telling us about how excited her son is about the church and the baptism they saw last week.

He kept asking her when she was going to get baptized.

(But then they didn't come to church Sunday, stinkers.)

Viernes.

4 hours to La Libertad and back.

Passed through 7 of the 10 zones in the mission. Crazy that you can get from one side to the other in 1.5 hours and that's just because of traffic.

Hermana Vasquez and I met a family in the morning. The "husband's" (they're not married, like every other couple in this town) family is Mormon, and when he was little he went to church, but never got baptized or anything. His mom and grandpa both died in the last few months and so he had a little interest to talk to us.

But the whole time he kept saying how he never got baptized because he wasn't committed enough, he was more independent, this and that, excuses really. So I was thinking, yeah this guy really isn't interested. But at the end we invited him to pray, and he said. "Yeah, well see if I can remember."

And he started praying and then he started crying. My word. It was powerful. Really cool experience. :)

L. passed her baptismal interview! Woooo! She gets baptized Saturday. She was soooo happy which makes me happy. :)

Sabado.

I don't know if I have mentioned this but we don't have a pensionista, so when the members fall through, were left to fend for ourselves.

Lets just say I made a mistake Saturday. I chose fish.

Domingo.

Went to church.

Had a lesson with A. Cracks me up that kid.

In his prayer, "please bless Hermana Anderson, even though she doesn't understand much, she really tries."

I had to do everything I could not to die laughing. Little twerp. Haha.

And that's just about it.

Thank you to all who responded to the cry for Reese's eggs. The Peruvians are fascinated by them. No such thing exists here, but they love them.

And I love the Peruvians.

And you.

See you next week.

Love,

Hermana Anderson
