Heyo

Monday: Regular work day, except I'm convinced there's a reason they chose Monday to be p-day. NOBODY is HOME on MONDAYS.

But, be not dismayed, we used our time very wisely and saved a baby cat.

It may have been diseased, but it did help with the street contacting. Everyone wanted to talk to us and it wasn't even because I am white.

I'm going to have to ask president for permission to have a cat.

I named it Katito.

We got dumped by a few investigators though... that was rough.

Except it gives us more time to find the escogidos (chosen).

So I'm pumped.

Tuesday:

Zone conference.

Being sister training leaders we are expected to participate and give trainings in such occasions. However the problem is we are the ONLY hermanas in the whole zone and all the elders have a lot of time. And I'm just thinking what in the world am I going to tell them? I'm just a snot nosed kid.

But I put on my big girl pants (skirt) and did it and it actually went really well. :)

We had a four hour lesson with A. I'm not even really exaggerating that much. We had to have bathroom breaks and everything.

But we had to get him all prepped for his baptism.

It was sooo great. He has changed so much. He's like a different person now.

His cousin came into the room and he got all excited and asked him to listen too. So I asked A. if he could explain the Plan of Salvation to his cousin to catch him up.

He explained it way better than we did. I can't explain it. It was great. I was literally giddy.

Wednesday:

We went the TEMPLE.

Nuff said.

Although we did get in a car crash on the way...

Darn Satan.

But don't worry, I saved the day.

I pulled my unconscious companion out of the burning vehicle, called the ambulance (in Spanish might I add) and brought her back to life before they even got to the scene. (Traffic in Lima is horrible).

Thursday:

Intercambios with Hermana Paz.

Was great.

A little stressful.

First intercambio where I stayed in our sector which is fine and all except I am still directionally impaired and don't know left from right, but we did all right. :)

Friday:

In my innocent attempt to have a conversation with some youngins in the street I accepted a cup of chocolate milk. They were doing a door to door promotion of this chocolate milk that is supposed to be healthy for children and everything.

I didn't realize until after I accepted it that it was probably not the wisest decision, but yuck. Man was it nasty. Hermana Paz explained to me after that it had algae in it. Yes, like from the sea. Apparently I don't understand that word in Spanish. I'm going to have to work on my vocab.

A nice man in the street said there was no way he was going to listen to the missionaries as long as I'm here. Why thank you sir. The attitude towards foreigners is interesting...

Saturday.

A.'s baptism.

Miracle of it all - Every member of the ward council was there. That is unheard of.

Granted, it did start two hours late, but it was great all the same.

We had a contacting activity in the morning with our hermanas. I was with Hermana Barrera. Throwback.

Sunday.

I'm kind of getting bored of writing this email.

It was a good day.

I went to church.

Things are going well here in rico RIMAC.

Thanks for all you support.

I love you.

Love,

Hermana Anderson
