Happy Mother's Day
Hello all.
A special shout out to my dear madre.
Who is the best.
And I love very much.
And is a little crazy.
I was very happy to see you yesterday.
Monday:
P-days with elders...
We took a 1.5-hour bus ride to Mirflores to buy a burrito.
We ordered last and when we had finally finished, the elders had all eaten and were getting up to leave.
So we ate by ourselves.
And took a 1-hour taxi ride back to spite them.
I just wanted to sleep.
But the burrito had fried bananas in it, so that was exciting.
Tuesday:
Mission leadership council.
I had no idea what went on behind mission walls.
Now I know.
It was fun.
We ate pizza.
And spent the whooooolleee day there.
We had a really cool lesson with J.
He was really excited about how he felt in church on Sunday.
And loves the pamphlets, he says the blue book freaks him out a little because it’s so big. We’re gonna have to tear pages out or something.
Also he says he understands ‘the planification of God’ as he puts it and wants to make covenants to start his life again. :)
Wednesday:
Busy. Busy.
I got an AWESOME package from the Amares! Thank you verryyy much.
I’m now on the lookout for children. I’m gonna be like Papa Noel.
It was very thoughtful, thank you!
And the children of Rimac thank you as well. (Well not yet, but soon!)
Had a lesson with A.
He is very pleased with what he’s been learning as well.
He got a small problem with his friends and their drinking habits, but nothing that the Lord can’t help him with. He changed his mind from wanting to be baptized in two years to two weeks. I think we can work with that.
Thursday:
Multizonas.
Hermana and President Larson are the best.
Sometimes they remind me of Mom and Dad.
But then again, it’s been a while, so who knows. ;)
Ate pizza again.
They’re trying to fattener me up.
We had a ward activity.
Which consisted of a talent show.
They wanted us to perform.
We of course had nothing prepared, but I’m not one to shy from the spotlight, so we performed a nice disaster. Everyone loved it.
My favorite part was when this 60-year-old (pleasantly plump) woman belly danced Shakira.
After the show was a dance.
So obviously we had to leave. But we were trying to coordinate appointments at the same time and we just couldn’t get out fast enough...
Our investigator asked me to dance.
I didn’t understand. And then I think the shock/horror on my face as I realized helped him change his mind real quick.
Friday:
Intercambios with Hermana Scarlett.
Weird.
9 months later.
So much has changed.
But it was a good time.
Had some really cool lessons.
Got to catch up a bit.
Saturday:
I wish I remembered...
Sunday:
I got to talk to my favorite peopleeee.
JACOB! But because here people celebrate mother’s day by getting drunk, we had to spend the night inside. :(
All in all, things are good.
I still don’t know how to get to our house or the chapel, but I’m happy.
And I love you all.
See you soon
Love,
Hermana Anderson
