Things are busy, busy here in Rimac. I am tireeeed.

MONDAY: We had studies with Hermana Barrera and Hermana Vasquez.

We spent part of p-day with them as well which was a poor decision. We spent half the day in this grocery store that is for people who have business or elders who eat for a family of 10. Elders...

We had a family home evening with this family and a couple investigators. One of them from Vietnam who speaks a little Spanish and a little English and lots of Vietnamese. He feels good at church, but obviously doesn’t understand much. It’s interesting. He prayed in Vietnamese at the end.

(Kate dropped her camera and it broke, so until next week we're having a throw back Monday)

TUESDAY: Had divisions with Hermana Deppe and Hermana Villalba.

Had a lesson with this man A. Dad, I wish you could meet him. He’s a less active, mostly because he’s sick and can’t leave his house. He’s had a really hard life. Lots of struggles. Was excommunicated once or twice. Rebaptized. All sorts of things. But has a testimony, my word. I just wanted to sit there and learn from him. You could just see it in his eyes. It was a much needed experience.

WEDNESDAY: I GOT PACKAGES. MADE MY DAY. WEEK. MONTH. LIFE!

We’re working with this member, recent convert, menos activa, reactivated, who has some struggles. particularly in the word of wisdom department. She’s had her fair share of struggles... and she accompanies us a lot to distract her... basically things have been pretty bad lately and she told us about her life and says she wants our help, she wants to stop, she wants to be happy, and she wants to feel what she felt before.

THURSDAY: Intercambios with Hermana Bartlett. She’s great. I am tired. As you can see, we spend a lot of time in other sectors. Which is hard because they are all in different zones, far, far away. Takes forever.

FRIDAY: The member we were helping, (see Wednesday) had some struggles, fell a little bit. And as we were going home decided she was going to go... (we practically live in the same house). We tried to help her, but she said she couldn’t. So we went home. Started our planning with a prayer, pleading that she would make it home safe, and as we turn around, there she is walking up the stairs. Not in the best of conditions, but she was okay, and had thrown away certain things. :) It was a miracle.

SATURDAY: 10 MONTHS! Only 18 more to go! Had studies with Hermana Paz and Hermana Yegros. Yes, the same Hermana Yegros.

This day was kinda slow.

SUNDAY: MIRACLES. We met this guy. Who is pretty much the last person you would expect to be visiting with the missionaries. But he wants to change his life around. So we invited him to the church. We went to pick him up, but he was asleep. We told his cousin to wake him up. He said he would shower and then come, but we didn’t have time to wait for him, so we figured he wouldn’t come. As I finish playing the opening hymn, there he is sitting on the front row. He had a pretty good experience, stayed for the whole 3 hours and everything. Our numbers weren’t so great this week, and Hermana Cachari was feeling a little down as we were planning. At about 10, he called and said he wanted to be baptized. He wanted to make covenants with God and wanted to know what the requirements were and a whole bunch of stuff. It was aweeeesommme. Problem is he’s gotta get married first. But he says now he understands why and was going to talk to his wife. It was a miracle.

ALL IN ALL a great week in Peru.

Happy to be in the service of the Lord.

Thanks for everythingggg.

Ya’ll are the greatest!

Love you a ton.

Love,

Hermana Anderson
