Hey

MONDAY: Let’s see. We ate some pollo with the zone. Then came home to relax. Learned a lot about my companions. We planned our open doors activity. Ate empanadas.

TUESDAY: We had a lot of appointments and only about half of them fell through. Oh! We didn’t have water on Monday or Tuesday. Didn’t shower for like 72 hours. That was great. But it wasn’t just us, it was half of Lima. So you can imagine how it smelled. Not so pretty.

Had some good lessons. My favorite was with this woman W.

Probably ate empanadas again. Saw a man in the bakery without pants on. That was interesting. I guess we don’t wear pants in this town either. We just walk around in our underwear. :)

WEDNESDAY: Good district/zone meeting. Set goals for April! Got pumped. Lesson with E. finally. The Spirit was really strong. It was a good lesson. She just won’t commit to baptism.

Lesson with F. She told us that her sister said that if she finds out that we are visiting her, she’s going to chase us with a broom and beat us. So that’s great.

THURSDAY: I’m grateful that we are in a trio. Hopefully we’ll have a normal week or day soon…

FRIDAY: Lesson with Hermana F. Celebrated 9 months with the only burritos in Peru.

(Delayed because of some unexpected events.) A man sat on me on the bus.

SATURDAY: CONFERENCE. Wow. Gets me every time. How powerful is His plan?! Makes me miss home just a little. Makes me happy to have such a wonderful family. :) And know that I can be with them for FOREVER. Ain’t that just the greatest thing you’ve heard all day?

SUNDAY: General Conference. TEMPLE IN LIMA! My favorite part was when Elder Cook talked about how those cities have been and are being prepared. That thousands of hearts and homes and to feel a part of that. Awesome. I’ll be there for it :)

These last few weeks have been harder on me than I realized. But do not worry. I am healthy, safe and happy. I’ve been able to find a lot of peace knowing that I’m doing all that I can :) And for all the things these experiences are preparing me for.

Also, I got an invitation in the mail. Happy for Sammer. Very cute. Less than three weeks. Time flies. I remember when Summer was in my writing class 3 years ago…never would have guessed. (I bet her, less.)

Oh! I ran into Hna Altamirano at conference (my angel teacher from the CCM) made my week! :)

I guess I completed 9 months this week. So that’s something. I’m not quite sure if that’s a lot or not. Anyway, I’m alive. I’m happy to be a missionary. I know the church is true. Thomas S. Monson is the Lord’s prophet on the earth today and he has the keys. Christ is at the helm. It is his church. I need to stop though; otherwise I’ll go on forever.

Have a happy week!

Love,

Hermana Anderson
